KEEN G.O. (Get Outside) is an engaging, hands-on opportunity for families and individuals of all ages to explore the outdoors, discover local natural spaces, and learn about the diverse plants and animals that inhabit them. Offered throughout the year, KEEN G.O. provides fun, accessible nature exploration activities like arts and crafts, guided nature walks, stargazing nights, and more! Each event is designed to encourage a love for the outdoors, foster environmental stewardship, and create lasting memories in nature. Whether you’re new to outdoor adventures or a seasoned explorer, KEEN G.O. offers something for everyone. Join us and experience the beauty and wonders of our natural world!

Fall & Early Winter at the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center still has some fun discoveries! Meet coniferous trees, watch deciduous trees changing colors, meet our wetland, find the paths that animals take in the fall, enjoy some fresh air with your family & friends! Free!

Take a walk at YCIC and learn about the importance of riparian areas. We'll chat about the pond and Cherry/Wilson Creek that borders the property. We'll also get a glimpse into the groundwater influences at YCIC.
