KEEN G.O. (Get Outside) is a free nature walk opportunity for people of all ages to explore the outdoors, discover local natural spaces, and learn about the diverse plants and animals that inhabit them. Offered throughout the year, KEEN G.O. is an easy weekly nature walk at the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center. Join us for an hour of outdoor exploration, get to know the YCIC through all seasons, learn from experts, get off the screens, and meet new friends.

Fall & Early Winter at the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center still has some fun discoveries! Meet coniferous trees, watch deciduous trees changing colors, meet our wetland, find the paths that animals take in the fall, enjoy some fresh air with your family & friends! Free!

We still like to walk in the winter - starting in January, we'll gather so long as we can park at the park! Stay tuned for registration.

Take a walk at YCIC and learn about the importance of riparian areas. We'll chat about the pond and Cherry/Wilson Creek that borders the property. We'll also get a glimpse into the groundwater influences at YCIC.
