Upcoming KEEN G.O. Events

a winter walk

JAN 12 | 10AM-12PM | @YCIC

Winter at the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center still has some fun discoveries! Meet coniferous trees, find the paths that animals take in winter, enjoy some fresh air in brisk weather. Participation by donation.

FEB 9 | 10am-12pm | @YCIC

Depending on winter weather, February can start showing signs of spring popping through in our region. We'll walk the paths at YCIC (about 2 miles) and look for early signs of spring together.

MAR 9 | 10AM-12PM | @YCIC

Take a walk at YCIC and learn about the importance of riparian areas. We'll chat about the pond and Cherry/Wilson Creek that borders the property. We'll also get a glimpse into the groundwater influences at YCIC.

APR 13 | 10am-12pm | @YCIC

Spring wildflowers are a special treat for those of us who are challenged by the winter blues! We'll walk around YCIC (about 2 miles), and look for wildflowers popping up through the thawing soil. Color will abound!
