"After learning 50 or 60 Johnny Cash songs, we began thinking that we should add some variety to the show as well. Songs from artists that were Johnny's friends and influences have been added to the set list, including Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr. and Sr., Waylon Jennings, Buck Owens, Elvis and many more! We believe these classics are loved by all generations." Darian Osiadacz

TINNED FISH.jpg

TINNED FISH

“With golden, homespun harmonies that range from tender to haunting, tinned fish (stylized lowercase), captures the sounds of human experience and the spirit of a front porch session–featuring gritty clawhammer banjo, soaring fiddle, and four distinct lead voices.

Rooted in friendship and bound by song, the group blends disparate voices into a sound that’s often earthy, eerie, and unexpectedly familiar–offering up a storytelling style that ranges from high lonesome and longing to playful and sweet. They lean into the crooked edges of old-time, bluegrass, Ameriana, and folk music—carried by the pulse of the bass and mandolin and wrapped in rich, layered harmonies that sometimes swell into four or five parts.

It’s this shifting of voices and moods that gives their performances depth and their audiences a sense of being drawn into something personal and true. Tinned fish formed in the heart of Kittitas Valley, the historic gathering place for many to exchange goods, knowledge, and experience--they hope to uphold and honor that tradition.

They were friends first and bandmates second and it shows both on and off stage; they laugh easily, support one another, and build a warm, inviting sound full of heart and honesty.”
