KEEN Summer Camp Counselors
(up to 10 positions)

The Kittitas Environmental Education Network (KEEN) seeks several seasonal camp counselors to join our 2026 Pond to Pines Summer Camp team in facilitating nature-based outdoor learning adventures for children ages 5-11 (grades K-5). We also have an opportunity to hire one or more counselors for our Wild Horizons Adventure Camps for ages 11-16 for more experienced applicants.

KEEN Summer Camp and Environmental Education Programming Leader

KEEN seeks a dynamic and dedicated Summer Camp and Environmental Education Programming Leader to spearhead our adventure-based and environmental education programs. This role will lead KEEN's established programs, including after-school, summer, and 4th-grade camps, as well as school-year adventures. Starting part-time in April or May, this position will transition to full-time during the 10-week summer camp season, pending successful achievement of fundraising and camp registration goals. If the summer goes well and additional funding is identified and secured, the position will transition into full-time, year round.

KEEN's mission is to cultivate an active understanding of the impacts of climate change on the endangered shrub-steppe and foster commitment to environmental stewardship by providing culturally relevant nature-based education. Our main project is to establish the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center (YCIC) at Helen McCabe Park near Ellensburg, WA.
