Join the EcoExplorers Club for a full year of afterschool outdoor discovery and hands-on learning!

 

Your membership includes:

✅ Weekly Wednesday sessions (1–5 PM) 

✅ Meet at KEENs downtown office and travel (provided) to area parks and experiences

✅ All supplies and healthy snacks provided

✅ Led by expert KEEN environmental educators

✅ Aligned with Washington State Environmental & Sustainability Standards

✅ Nature journals, science tools, and art materials included

WEDNESDAYS AFTERSCHOOL

Explore Your Wild Side After School!
Join KEEN’s new EcoExplorers Club—an exciting weekly adventure filled with outdoor science, environmental projects, and creative discovery. Aligned with WA State ESE Standards, this hands-on program builds real-world skills and nature connection.

🔍 Weekly Experiences Include:

  • Nature hikes and ecosystem exploration

  • Science experiments and water testing

  • Climate and conservation challenges

  • Nature art, mapping, and storytelling

  • Stewardship projects that matter

🛠 What’s Provided:

  • Meeting room downtown - in walking distance from Morgan Middle School

  • Transportation to field experiences via the KEEN bus

  • All needed materials

  • Healthy snacks

  • Expert educator leadership

*Minimum of 10 kids per month to operate the club

KEEN's mission is to cultivate an active understanding of the impacts of climate change on the endangered shrub-steppe and foster commitment to environmental stewardship by providing culturally relevant nature-based education. Our main project is to establish the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center (YCIC) at Helen McCabe Park near Ellensburg, WA.
