KEEN's Field Science Program

Take science outside.

Hands-on environmental science for grades 4–12 at the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center.

The shrub-steppe is our classroom.

KEEN partners with teachers to design field investigations that bring science to life. From native plant and wildlife surveys to water and wetland studies, habitat restoration, geology, and ecosystem resilience, students ask questions, collect data, work together, and use evidence to explain what they discover.
